Alila Manggis, is located on a secluded stretch of beach in Buitan, south of Candi Dasa, in East Bali. Set amidst a coconut grove and overlooking the Badung Straits and Nusa Penida Island, with Mount Agung rising in the background, the resort is a tranquil oasis. Alila Manggis offers a total of 53 superior and deluxe rooms, as well as two suites. The superior rooms are located on the ground level of four 2-storey buildings with traditional Balinese roofs. The deluxe rooms are housed on the upper floor and offer a day-bed on the balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. The suites are located in the corners of the buildings, on the upper level and are close to the beach. Large balconies surround the suites to allow for outdoor dining, entertaining or for sunbathing. The suites offer a sleeping & living area with a large entrance hall which may be used as a dining area. All guest rooms feature minibar, satellite TV and IDD telephone. For dining, the Seasalt Restaurant, overlooking the pool and the beach, offers contemporary cuisine and Indonesian and Balinese specialties. Snacks and a wide variety of refreshments and cocktails are available at the poolside and garden. For recreational activities, guests can enjoy the pool, pamper themselves at Spa Alila, take part in a cooking class or venture into the countryside by bicyle or hiking. For dive enthusiasts there are a variety of packages to choose from, most of them include excursions to such famous dive spots as Blue Lagoon in Padang Bai, Tulamben, Nusa Penida, Gili Tepekong and Gili Biaha.
